Dominican Republic leads medals at
Senior Women's Pan American Cups
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 12, 2025 – With this medal
won at the XXII Senior Women's Pan American Volleyball Cup, the
Dominican Republic continues to lead the event since its inception
in 2002.
With this medal, the Dominicans have won 20 medals in the
competition (7 gold, 10 silver, and 3 bronze). The Queens of the
Caribbean have been on the podium in every edition, except in 2012,
2023, and 2024, when they finished in fourth place.
The United States is in second place in the medal standings with 15
(7 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze).
Third place in the overall Pan American Cup medal standings is
shared by Brazil and Cuba with 7 each. Brazil has (3 gold medals, 3
silver medals, and 1 bronze medal), while Cuba has (4 gold medals, 1
silver medal, and 2 bronze medals).
Puerto Rico is fourth in medals won with 6 (2 silver and 4 bronze),
followed by Argentina with 5 (2 gold and 3 bronze).
Colombia is sixth with a total of 4 medals (2 silver and 2 bronze),
followed by Canada with 2 silver medals and Mexico with 1 silver
medal. |
