ticket to the Grand Prix. “Now we have to think about tomorrow’s
match and recover from the mistakes we committed today.”
Marcos Kwiek, coach of Dominican Republic: “In today’s match we
saw two good teams who know each other very well and that’s why
is so important to take advantage of the opponents’ errors.
Every game is tough and we have to keep working and achieve our
goal of reaching the Grand Prix.”
Sulian Matienzo, captain of Cuba: “Our team started very strong
but then we began to make errors they took advantage of and were
able to get the win. I know we could have done better but you
have to turn the page and play better tomorrow.”
Roberto Garcia, coach of Cuba, commented that in the first set
his team was in calm but in the second their rivals adjusted
their game and the Cuban blocking was not able to be ready on
time. We made too many errors in the second set that we repeated
in the last two sets and was very difficult to recover.
Now we have to work to reduce those errors.” |
