Dominicans announce training group for Caribbean Series
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, December 10, 2018 – The Female National
Volleyball Program of the Dominican Republic announced the group
of players called to a training camp to select the 14 players
that will see action in the first edition of the Caribbean
Series to take place from January 4 to 6.
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the national program,
confirmed that the selection of his country will include a great
part of the team that participated in the FIVB World
Championship last October.
“We have summoned a training team with almost all the players
active in the foreign leagues and will take 14 players mostly
the ones that were active during the world championship,” Marte
Hoffiz said.
The Dominican training group is led by the Captain Bethania De
la Cruz and includes the veterans Annerys Vargas, Prisilla
Rivera, Candida Arias, Niverka Marte, Lisvel Eve, Camil
Dominguez, Gina Mambru, Brayelin Martínez, Gaila Gonzalez and
Marifranchi Rodriguez.
Also junior players Natalia Martínez, Yokaty Pérez, Jineiry
Martínez, Yaneirys Rodríguez, Vielka Peralta, Larysmer Martínez,
Geraldine Gonzalez and Madeline Guillen.
The technical staff will be composed by Coach Marcos Kwiek and
his assistants Wagner Pacheco, Cristian Cruz, Wilson Sánchez and
Yeivic Jiménez. Also the therapist Carlos Villalona and team
manager Milagros Cabral. |
