Elvis Contreras MVP of the Central American Games
CORDOBA, México, November 30 2014 - Dominican Elvis Contreras
was recognized as the Most Valuable Player of the Men’s
Volleyball Tournament at the XXII Central American and Caribbean
Games.
Contreras was also distinguished as Scoring Leader and Best
Attacker. As Second Best Attacker, Cuban Javier Jimenez got the
honors, while Wilfrido Hernandez, from Dominican Republic
finished as Best Blocker and his fellow patriot, German Recio
was the Second Best Blocker.
Best Defender was Pedro Cabrera from Puerto Rico, while Mexicans
Jorge Quiñones and Jesus Rangel, were recognized as the Best
Reception and Best Libero, respectively.
Best Setter was Leandro Macias, from Cuba, and his compatriot
Javier Jimenez was distinguished as Best Server. Jose Caceres of
Dominican Republic concluded as Best Opposite Player.
