LAUSANNE, Switzerland, March 24, 2022 - FIVB
President Dr Ary S. Graça F° brought the FIVB
Board of Administration meeting to a close with
a call to elevate volleyball and beach
volleyball to even greater heights through
teamwork and unity.
Discussions focused on key topics such as the
2022 event calendar, Olympic Games Paris 2024
and FIVB Commission Proposals among others.
In addition, the Board of Administration
approved several changes to the composition of
the FIVB Athletes’ Commission, FIVB Technical
and Coaching Commission and FIVB Judicial
Bodies.
Speaking after the conclusion of the meeting,
the FIVB President said:
“The Board of Administration held an extremely
productive meeting over the past few days with
discussions focused on a united approach to
ensuring an even brighter future for our beloved
sport through professionalism, hard work and
teamwork.
“All of sport has faced significant challenges
over the past few years, and never before have
we seen how strong foundations, innovation and
unity are needed to ensure that sport can
flourish. This is the mentality that I want the
global Volleyball Family to continue to embrace
moving forward so that, together, we can ensure
a lasting legacy for volleyball and beach
volleyball!”
Board members also had an opportunity to look
ahead to an extremely busy year for volleyball
and beach volleyball, with an event calendar
that includes the men’s and women’s editions of
the FIVB Volleyball World Championship, the FIVB
Beach Volleyball World Championships, the
Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2022 and the new
Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.
The FIVB will also hold its World Congress from
22 to 25 September 2022 in Arnhem, Netherlands
during the first round of the prestigious FIVB
Volleyball Women’s World Championship. |
