FIVB Executive Committee meeting held via videoconference
LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 12, 2020 – The FIVB Executive
Committee meeting, chaired by FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F°,
was held yesterday via videoconference.
During the meeting, a number of important topics were discussed
regarding the current position of the FIVB and the ongoing work
of the global Volleyball Family towards its vision of the
future.
Opening the meeting, the FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F°
said:
“The whole Volleyball Family, including volleyball fans across
the world, are waiting for the return of our beloved sport. I
know that when this happens, volleyball and beach volleyball
will provide both hope and inspiration to us all.
“They are already giving us hope as we speak, and I continue to
see many wonderful initiatives on social media by our elite
volleyball and beach volleyball athletes that have brought them
even closer to the community. I have also seen the incredible
work of our Continental Confederations and National Federations.
And I applaud them all for giving hope. It is our responsibility
to offer our fans and stakeholders the opportunity to celebrate
the unity, teamwork and dedication that our beloved sport
represents.”
