LAUSANNE, Switzerland, March 21, 2022 - The FIVB
Executive Committee, led by FIVB President Dr
Ary S Graça F°, today met in a hybrid in person
and virtual format to discuss the importance of
the FIVB, the Continental Confederations and
National Federations taking a united approach to
enhance the development of the sport worldwide.
The meeting was held ahead of the Board of
Administration meeting set to take place on
Monday afternoon and Tuesday, and provided an
opportunity for the Executive Committee to
discuss a number of key topics. These included
the importance of good governance and
transparency, the continued need for unity to
help volleyball and beach volleyball grow
worldwide and the importance of innovation.
Opening the meeting, the FIVB President said:
“We need to make sure we are moving in one
direction. If we are on a boat, but everyone is
rowing in different directions, we will only go
in circles and never move anywhere. We must
remember that, together, we are worth much more
than the sum of our parts. So we should take
advantage of this and work together to ensure
great results that benefit our beloved sport.”
The FIVB Board of administration meeting is set
to be held on the afternoon of 21 March and
throughout 22 March 2022. |
