LAUSANNE, Switzerland, June 3, 2022 - FIVB
President Dr Ary S Graça F° recently met the
Republic of Chad’s head of state and President
of the Transitional Military Council, Mahamat
Idriss Déby Itno, during a visit to the country.
The FIVB President was invited to visit the
Republic of Chad by Volleyball Federation of
Chad President Idriss Dokony. Joining him at the
meeting were FIVB Executive Vice-President and
African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB)
President Bouchra Hajij, FIVB Executive
Vice-President Habu Ahmed Gumel and the
President of the Association of National Olympic
Committees of Africa (ANOCA), Mustapha Berraf.
During the meeting, the FIVB President confirmed
his committment to supporting the Volleyball
Federation of Chad with equipment and coaching,
and reiterated his overall dedication to the
development of volleyball in Africa.
The FIVB President also received the Officer
rank of the National Order of Chad from the head
of the nation, the highest Chadian honorary
decoration that rewards personal merit and
eminent service rendered to the nation.
During his visit to the Republic of Chad, the
FIVB President also visited the Lycée Félix
Eboué, the oldest school in Chad’s capital and
met with the students who play volleyball.
FIVB President Dr Ary S Graça F° said:

head of state as well as my colleagues in
African sports and volleyball. I am committed to
supporting Chad and all the other National
Federations in Africa through equipment and
coaching support to help grow our beloved sport
