Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, August 5, 2014 – The National
Volleyball Federation of Haiti received the donation of one
thousand of balls as part of the development initiatives put in
practice by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and
NORCECA Confederation.
The FIVB and NORCECA have been working closely to impulse the
expansion of volleyball in Haiti by promoting the practice of
the sport among children and creating better conditions for
young and up and coming players.
Milagros Cabral, the former captain of the women’s Dominican
National Team and currently Sports Director in Santo Domingo for
the Ministry of Sports, presented the donation to a delegation

contribute to the evolution of volleyball in Haiti.
“The National Federation of Haiti is committed to massify the

with the childhood and the youth,” Cabral said.
“On behalf of FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° and
NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz we have the honor to
present this significant donation that I am sure will receive an
optimal use by the volleyball authorities of Haiti,” Cabral

Republic for friendly matches with different universities and
local clubs as part of the development program of NORCECA for
National Federations Category 1 and 2.

Federation who was accompanied by several players of both

efforts in favor of our country.”
