FIVB meets Qatar Tourism to explore opportunities through volleyball

December 7, 2024.- The FIVB President Fabio Azevedo met with His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Visit Qatar to explore potential partnerships for volleyball to support promotion of tourism in the country.

They were joined by the President of the Qatar Volleyball Association Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari. and tourism.

The discussions centered on the shared vision of using volleyball to attract global visitors to the region, with a focus on hosting major international events in Qatar. This aligns with Qatar’s National Vision 2030, which aims to position the country as a leading global destination for sports and tourism.

The meeting also highlighted opportunities to enhance volleyball infrastructure in Qatar and expand support for the sport through strategic initiatives.
