First ever NORCECA Meeting with Remote Technology
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, June 7, 2019 – Fort the first
time ever in the history of NORCECA Confederation one of its
commission held its annual meeting utilizing remote technology
via internet.
The meeting of the Development Commission was chaired by NORCECA
President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz and Mushtaque Mohammed,
president of the working group who were on site in the
confederation’s headquarters in Santo Domingo alongside vice
president of NORCECA Edgar Alvarado and General Secretary Jose
Luis Jimenez, Arateide Caceres, Indhira Ramirez and Riquel Matos
of NORCECA staff.
The participants were Allan Sharp of Belize, Stacey
Madeira-Brooke of Bermuda, Juan Acuña of Costa Rica, Juan
Cartagena of Puerto Rico, John Kessel of United States who was
in Zimbawe, Francisco Cruz of Trinidad and Tobago and Nelson
Ramírez and Roosevelt Comarazamy of Dominican Republic.
Fabio Azevedo, general director of FIVB, took part with
welcoming words from Lausanne, Switzerland and underlining the
importance of having these type of meeting using the internet
facilities.
The meeting was coordinated by Cayacoa Moquete, director of Info
and Technology of the confederation.
It was presented a report of activities of 2018, and the
participants discussed the strategy to be used for the
participation via scholarships in the courses offered by the
Development Center, and the contribution of NORCECA to the
development of the national federations during the period
2010-2018. |
