Five Teams Remain Unbeaten in Men's
Beach Volleyball at Santo Domingo 2026
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 26, 2026. – Venezuela,
the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, and El Salvador
remained unbeaten after the second day of men's beach volleyball
competition at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and
Caribbean Games, each earning their second consecutive victory
to strengthen their positions atop their respective pools.
In Pool A, Hayerling De Jesús and Oscar Martínez of the
Dominican Republic kept their perfect record with a 2-0 (21-14,
21-11) victory over Grenada's Darron Oxford and Jonell Phillip.
The hosts share the top of the standings with Venezuela, with
both teams on four points.
Defending champion Mexico, with Carlos Ayala and Antonio Lares,
continued their title defense in Pool B with a commanding 2-0
(21-9, 21-8) win over Bermuda's Benjamín Barnett and Connor
Somerville.
In Pool C, Nicaragua's Jefferson Cascante and Rubén Mora
improved to 2-0 after defeating Honduras' Jairo Gálvez and Irven
Reyes 2-0 (21-9, 21-19), taking sole possession of first place
with four points.
Pool D saw El Salvador's Rafael and Gabriel Vargas remain
unbeaten with a 2-0 (21-16, 21-14) victory over Belize's Ernest
Broaster and Francis Hauze.
Elsewhere, Cayman Islands' Jesario Ebanks and Dylan Lynee earned
a 2-0 (21-13, 21-8) victory over the U.S. Virgin Islands' Cole
Sommer and De-Andrae Taylor in Pool B. In Pool D, Trinidad and
Tobago's Miguel Jahreef and Jerome Morrison rallied past Antigua
and Barbuda's Miguel Peña and Raenor Sharpe 2-1 (17-21, 21-17,
15-7).
