BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, December 17, 2015 - The presentation of
prizes and awards at the end of a tournament is usually all
about the players and coaches. Not so when the 10th CAZOVA
championships were concluded in Bridgetown.
Long serving member of the zone's Referees Commission Cheryll
Rojer was honoured by CAZOVA for his contribution towards the
development of the sport and officials in the region during the
past 20 years.
Rojer who is now a retired FIVB International Referee was
described by president of CAZOVA Mushtaque Mohammed as a person
who had played a significant role in the discovery and growth of
officials in Cazova.
"Cheryll has also been a key factor in the successful execution
of numerous FIVB and Norceca tournament contested in the region
for the past two decades," said Mohammed.
One of Rojer's protege's International FIVB Referee Brian
Charles thanked Rojer for the part he had played in his personal
development as an official and for passing on invaluable
knowledge and experience to so many upcoming officials in CAZOVA. |
