Great Pan American final on Asian Sand
NANJING, China, August 26, 2014.- It could not be better for
Youth Olympic Games. It could not be better for development of
Beach Volleyball. It could not be better for Norceca and it
could not be better for the CSV. In just a few words, It could
not be better for the Pan American youth teams.
Paty Ramos and Duda Lisboa representing Brazil and the McNamara
sisters, Megan and Nicole of Canada. The win was for the
Brazilians in three sets (21-17, 13-21, 14-16).
Despite the result, the most consistent teams met each other for
the gold medal. Canada played with resilience in the first set,
while Brazil had the force and heigth as their main weapons.
After Women’s competition finished at the II Youth Olympic
Games, a total of four Norceca teams finished in the Top 20
positions.
While Canada with the McNamara Sisters played at the Finals, the
United States finished fifth with Zana Muno and Skylar Caputo.
Dala Diana Noel and Skye Faucher Mondesir, of Saint Lucia,
finished ranked in 17th place.
Also, in the same position finished Chelsi Ward and Malika
Davidson of Trinidad and Tobago, while Guatemalans, Natalia
Giron and Estefanie Bethancourt closed in the 25th place.
In the score there is only one winner But in the end there is
the sign of a brigth future and present on both sides of the net
in Nanjing. |
