“coming into this game we knew it was going to be difficult, we
practice to improve in terms of our skills and be mentally
prepared; some members of the team were giving all but some had
an off night. Our main blocker wasn’t as focused as he should
have been; with that opening in the front row our defense took a
hit”.
Alvinzi Pelaez Guatemala’s coach said “the players who were
failing in serves today improved, especially the middle
blockers; I agree that our blocking improved and we practiced
tactical combinations to be used in our next matches because we
believe the will be have more difficulty”.
Coach Wallace Tillett of Belize said “my team didn’t show one
hundred percent to battle against Guatemala; I’ve been dealing
with the problem that not all the team is focused on the same
day. The team practiced today with a positive attitude, they
were eager and ready; we prepared for Guatemala’s variations but
during the match it wasn’t working out”. |
