SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, October 1,
2019.- Guatemala

tournament win at the eighteenth AFECAVOL U21 Men’s Central
American Championship being held at FESAVOL Gymnasium of San
Salvador, El Salvador.

Belize (0-2) faces Costa Rica.
Francisco Gamboa, top scorer of Guatemala: “The difference
from yesterday’s performance was our unity as a team; added
to the fact that we were really motivated to come out on
top”.
Ernest Broaster, top scorer of Belize: “Our passing was not
as good as yesterday and we need to improve on that so our
middles can be more incorporated. Personally I believe I did
well in hitting and service”.
Reider Lucas, Head Coach of Guatemala: “It’s an important
result, there is a bit more integration, today they were
more concentrated than yesterday. Our opponent did not
pressure that much. The most important fact is winning five
points and we must prepare the team for harder matches”.
Albert Humes, Head Coach of Belize: “I think our guys left
their hearts at home; I think they did not come mentally
prepared. The practice this morning was real high but they
didn’t come around during the game. We will definitely
rebound tomorrow; you can see it in their face that they are
feeling it deep”.
