GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 19 2022. - The
fourth edition of the U19 Boys Pan American Cup,
which grants three berths to the 2023 FIVB World
Championship, will be held in Guatemala City
from May 23-28.
The event will be held at Guatemala’s City Dome,
starting on Monday 23rd and ending on
Saturday 28th with four daily
matches, except on Thursday 26th with
two matches of the quarterfinal round.
The U19 Pan Am Cup features national teams from
Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras,
Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States and host
country Guatemala.
Teams have been distributed in two groups, with
Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras and
Puerto Rico in Group A, while Group B
composition is Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico and
United States.
The official announcement was made by Carlos
Enrique Santis Rangel, President of the
Guatemalan National Volleyball Federation during
a press conference on Thursday, alongside
members of the control committee and organizing
committee at the Guatemalan Sports
Confederation.

The Pan Am Cup offers three tickets for the top
ranked teams from NORCECA that aren’t already
qualified to the FIVB World Championship.
Cuba was crowned champion during the past
edition in 2019 in Santo Domingo, Dominican
Republic.
