GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 16, 2016 – National beach
volleyball player Moises Alfonso Reyes died on Sunday from head
injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Moy, as he was known, was a passenger in the motorcycle driven
by Andy Leonardo, also a national player, who was hospitalized
with minor injuries.
Reyes was already registered to represent Guatemala in the
NORCECA Inter Zonal Beach Volleyball Tournament to take place in
St Lucia later this month.
This year he took part in the NORCECA Circuit events held in
Guatemala and La Paz, Mexico.
The president of the Association of Central American Volleyball
Federations (AFECAVOL) Marta Centeno de Sajche, regretted the
dead of the player in a press release distributed on Sunday
afternoon. |
