Haiti finishes seventh beating French St. Martin

FORT LAUDERDALE, United States, July 31, 2016.- Haiti finished seventh at the NORCECA Women’s U-20 Continental Championship after beating French St. Martin 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-11) at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

The match between win-less teams was controlled by Haiti who accomplished their goal on not finishing last. Haiti’s spikers outplayed their opponents’ defense with more strength.

Haiti held advantage scoring on spiking with 39-10 margin and in serves 6-2; French St. Martin did better in blocking 5-1. Haiti committed 26 unforced errors while French St. Martin had 29.

Opposite Solaida Pierre topped all scorers with 19 points on 18 kills and one ace, middle blocker Elisabeth Larose also contributed in Haiti’s victory with 9 points on kills.
