BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, December 12, 2015 - Anyone
who doubts that hard work seldom fails should speak to Haiti
junior girls after they qualified for the CAZOVA finals in the
Wildey Gymnasium in Bridgetown.
Haiti defeated former queens Trinidad &'Tobago
25-19, 25-27, 25-8, 25-18 to repeat their win over T&T in Group
D as well as to keep their unbeaten record at the tournament
intact.
Coach of Haiti Osse Jean Francois indicated that
his girls had been working extremely hard for the past five
years. "We are proud to see our hard work paying off and after
so much hard work we are aiming for nothing less than gold,"
said Jean Francois.
Outside hitter Solaida Pierre scored 24 points to
lead three other teammates into double figures. Juliette Marie
Bayol scored 18 points, Djoulissa Mathe, 15 and Jackie Graziella
added 12.
Nicolette De Mille with 15 points and Aaliyah
Alexis with 12 tried to match Haiti but it proved too little to
carry T&T into another CAZOVA finals. |
