Haiti powered passed Trinidad and Tobago

 

PARAMARIBO, Suriname, April 1, 2018  - After losing their opening match to Barbados on the opening day, Haiti got back on track to the finals with an impressive victory over Trinidad and Tobago at the CAZOVA U21 Men Championship currently taking place in Paramaribo, Suriname.

 

Haiti won the match 3–0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-19) in a time of one hour and eleven minutes.

 

Haiti had more winners, 75 to Trinidad and Tobago’s 63, however, errors committer by both teams very close with Haiti 35 and Trinidad and Tobago 34.

 

Dimitry E. Dumay of Haiti scored a game high 18 points (12 Spikes, 1 Block and 5 Aces)

 

Rashaun Wright was Trinidad and Tobago’s highest scorer with 8 points (5 Spikes and 3 Blocks).

 

COACH HAITI – Ralph Adolphe said “It was the game they prepared for. They were able to play better than they did yesterday.”

 

CAPTAIN HAITI – Joseph Dumay said “I am satisfied.”

 

COACH TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – Sean Morrison said “They lacked consistency in their pass and serve. Haiti had a better game on the day.”

 

CAPTAIN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – Tyrique Nicholas said “Our inconsistency hurt our ability to spike. Haiti was dominant for that reason.”
