Honduras keeps winning rhythm against Panama

 

   

MANAGUA, Nicaragua, December 11, 2015 – Honduras (3-2) rolled past Panama 3-0 (25-20, 25-9, 25-19) at the XVI Women’s U20 Central American Championship to reach 14 points after five matches.

 

Cecille Johnson scored 22 points to lead the Honduran attack while Nataly Perez finished with 7. For Panama, the best was Captain Yileen Ng with 8 points.

 

Honduras was the best team in attacks 31-21 and in serves 13-4. Panama topped in blocking 4-2 but made more errors than their opponents 29-19.

 

Ruth Aguilar, Captain of Honduras: “It was a good game, we had some little problems with our defense but solved out them in time to get the win which was the objective. We go with all our strength against El Salvador and to win we need attitude over talent.”

 

Yileen Ng, Captain of Panama: “I think we played better today, the reception was better and had better attacks. Sometimes we lowered the enthusiasm, but then raised the attitude and desire to battle. We are not going to quit until the last match and we will focus on winning.”.
