Honduras prevailed over Panama with a straight set win
25-8, 25-11, 25-4 on day four of the XI Girls’ U-18 Central
American Championship.
Honduras showed a strong performance over the net with
superiority scoring 27 points against six scored by Panama.
The winners also led with huge advantage in served 26-0, but
Panama was better in blocking 2-0.
Rut Aguilar, captain of Honduras said “it was a good match, we
were concentrated and finished winning, this was our goal, now
we must be more focused for the following matches”.
Noyoisse Campbell, captain of Panama said “it was a difficult
match; our team lacks maturity and more”.
Coach Eliot Clarke of Panamá said “every team has their
weaknesses and we haven’t been able to take advantage of this
situation even if we have identified or opponents limitations”.
Cuban Marcos Tejada, coach for Honduras indicated “we tried to
adjust to some changes because we are preparing for more
demanding matches ahead of us, we must use players with better
height because we can’t be using our smaller players”. |
