We took control of the game in the first set, but already in the
second we took a lot, already in the third it was not so good,
but the girls were catching pace. The first match always is
complicated, you could feel anxiety, nervousness, but we are
happy with the result. "
José Fontes, coach of Belize:
"We started quite tense, the strategy of attacking with the
service did not work for us, the score was extended a bit with
the good work of Honduras in the service while we failed in the
reception. Unfortunately in the third set we managed to tie at
22 we could not take advantage of the opportunities to close in
our favor."
"In addition we have to recognize that Honduran team is a great
team."
Honduras will play against Nicaragua at 6:30 in the afternoon on
the second day of the tournament, while Belize has a rest day. |
