Honduras went down battling Cuba
LIMA, Peru, May 14, 2019 - From less to more was the performance
of Honduras, but it was not enough to stop the explosive team
from Cuba that got its second triumph in Pool B of the V Pan
American Cup U20 - Herbalife Cup.
The score in favor of Tomás Fernández's team was 25-4, 25-14,
25-19 in 1 hour 2 minutes of play at the Manuel Bonilla
Coliseum.
In the hands of their top scorers, Yaimaris García (15), Ivy
Vila (12) and Ailama Cese (11), Cuba took comfortable advantage
in attack (30-14) and service (25-3). Both teams registered 4

Yaimaris García, top scorer of Cuba: For the second and third
set we reduced our rhythm of game, and the rival grew up. It is
something that we must continue working on, to keep focused and
not give as many points in unforced errors.
Nathaly Pérez, top scorer from Honduras: I am very proud because
my team knew how to react. We took advantage of Cuba's mistakes,
we tried to do our best game and that's what we came for, to
improve our technique but also the psychic part that today
worked very well.
Honduras will do its best to recover from the two defeats
suffered so far (Peru and Cuba), to get its first victory when
it faces Guatemala this Wednesday May 15 at 3:00 p.m. And at
