Hosts of FIVB Age Group World Championships confirmed

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, November 11, 2014 – The International Volleyball Federation is pleased to announce the hosts of the FIVB Volleyball Age Group World Championships for 2015.

The appointment of the hosts of the FIVB Volleyball Age Group World Championships, which are held every two years, follows a bidding process which was completed on November 7 with the six tournaments taking place within four of the five FIVB Confederations.

The age group World Championship calendar for 2015 is as follows: 

FIVB Volleyball Girls U18 World Championship in Lima, Peru (August TBC)

FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship in Argentina (Dates TBC)

FIVB Volleyball Women’s U20 World Championship in Limassol & Kato Polemidia, Cyprus from June 30 to July 12

FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico from September 7 -20 

FIVB Volleyball Women’s U23 World Championship in Ankara, Turkey (Dates TBC) 

FIVB Volleyball Men’s U23 World Championship in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from August 24-31.

The qualification process is currently ongoing with just a handful of qualifying berths still available across all six competitions.
