International Beach Volleyball Course to begin in Tijuana

TIJUANA, Mexico, July 18, 2017  – Brazilian instructor Magda Falcao has been appointed by the International Volleyball Federation to direct the Level II Beach Volleyball Course that will take place at the FIVB-Norceca Regional Development Centre from July 19 thru 26.

This will be the second time for Falcao as director of an international course in Baja California Mexico. Previously the former player and mentor of South American high caliber athletes directed the first seminar for Beach Volleyball coaches in 2011 with attendants from several countries from Europe and the Americas.

The course that begins this week in Mexico will be directed to a group of 15 participants, according to the Centre authorities. “This is our second course in less than one month,” said Alberto Arreola, Operations Director.

“We hosted a continental seminar in June that was focused in the work with trainers and physical therapists.”

Coaches from Colombia, Cuba and Mexico are expected to attend. Falcao is a coach and instructor with a very high prestige in Brazilian beach volley after working very close with World Championship and Olympic medal winners such as Juliana Felisberta and Larissa França, who reached the podium in London 2012.
