International Beach Volleyball Course, inaugurated in Mexico

 

TIJUANA, Mexico, July 21, 2017 - The International Beach Volleyball Course was officially inaugurated   at the FIVB-Norceca Regional Development Centre in Baja California, Mexico on Friday.

 

Candidates from Colombia and Mexico, have met to begin with the work and activities of the course taught by Brazilian instructor Magda Falcao de Lima.

 

Activities began with the theoretical sessions that at the same time were completed online, as part of the innovations developed by the FIVB. Also some planning dynamics were developed in the classroom.

 

Opening Ceremony was led by the Centre’s Operations Director, Alberto Arreola Sánchez, who addressed the attendants on behalf of Norceca President, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz. 

 

Jorge Almada Bravo, Baja California Sports and Physical Culture Institute and Norceca Confederation was also present and welcomed the candidates on behalf of Institute and Centre General Director, Saul Castro Verdugo.

 

For five days, attendees will have the opportunity to update and learn a little more about the new trends in beach volleyball, a sport that has grown in popularity around the world after its success in world competitions as well as in Olympic Games.

 

During the afternoon, after the opening act, the practical sessions took place in the fields of the Development Centre, where attendees held ball practices and studied situations of real game.

 

The course will continue the weekend and conclude on Tuesday 25 with the final evaluation and closing and certification ceremony to those who pass the classroom and court tests.
