International Coaches Course Level I Opens at NORCECA-FIVB Regional
Development Center in the Dominican Republic
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, November 9, 2025. – With the
participation of 41 coaches from Mexico, Romania, Guatemala, Puerto
Rico, Colombia, Panama, Cuba, Costa Rica, and the Dominican
Republic, an International Coaches Course Level I officially began
at the NORCECA-FIVB Regional Development Center.
The
opening ceremony was attended by Garibaldi Bautista, President of
the Dominican Olympic Committee; Amos Anglade, Acting President of
the Dominican Volleyball Federation (FEDOVOLI); FIVB Instructor
Renzo Juárez from Peru; and Professor Nelson José Ramírez, Director
of the Development Center.
In
his opening remarks, Bautista congratulated the participants for
their commitment to professional growth, emphasizing that their
training will contribute to the advancement of volleyball in their
respective countries. “Once again, this Development Center sets an
example in the education and training of professionals in all areas
of volleyball and national sport,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Anglade highlighted the prestige of the Regional
Development Center, describing it as “the number one in the world,”
and expressed FEDOVOLI’s pride in hosting this leading institution
for volleyball education.

Instructor Renzo Juárez shared his satisfaction at returning to the
center where he completed the courses that led him to become an
international instructor. “I am very proud to be here and committed
to giving my best so that participants acquire the highest level of
knowledge,” he said.
Finally, Professor Nelson José Ramírez welcomed the coaches and
expressed gratitude for the continuous support received from the
NORCECA Confederation, presided over by Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, and
from the FIVB, in their shared mission to strengthen technical
development across the region.

five-day course includes theoretical sessions at the Development
Center’s main headquarters and practical sessions at Club Deportivo
Naco. |
