SOFIA, Bulgaria, June 23, 2022 - Iran dealt the
United States its first defeat in the FIVB Men's
Nations League with a score of 3-0 (25-18,
29-27, 27-25) on Thursday.
Amin Esmaeilnezhad topped the scoring for Iran
with 20 points, followed by Milad Ebadipour with
15 and Amirhossein Esfandiar with 13 points,
including two blocks and three aces.
Torey DeFalco had 13 points for United States
and Kyle Ensing finished with 11 tallies.
Earlier on Thursday, Poland blanked Canada 3-0
(25-16, 25-18, 25-16) behind a balanced attack
led by Lukasz Kaczmarek who finished with 13
points.
Karol Klos and Tomasz Fornal each contributed
nine points in the victory.
Brendan Barnes also had nine points for Canada. |
