SHREVEPORT, Louisiana, June 6, 2022 – Japan
defeated United States 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-20)
as the FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League
continued on Sunday.
Japan improved its win-loss record to 4-0 while
United States dropped to 3-1.
Sarina Koga and Arisa Inoue carried most of the
offensive load of Japan with 19 points each as
the only players with double figures for the
winners.
Andrea Drews led United States with 11 points,
followed by Kara Bajema and Anna Stevenson each
with 10 points.
Japan took advantage of 18 unforced errors by
United States. The winners had the edge in
attacks (47-46) and blocks (6-5).
They also landed 4 aces to none by the losers. |
