Lamboy concludes presentation of Legal Structure of National Federations

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, June 29, 2020 – The second part of the Legal Structure of Sport Organization dissertation by Jaime Lamboy was completed on Monday as part of the Sport Administration virtual seminar organized by the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic.

The 90-minute presentation started at 20:00 with the introduction by Nelson Ramirez, director of the Regional Development Center.

During his participation as lecturer, the president of the FIVB Legal Commission began explaining the composition of a board of administration as well as the constitution or statues, and disciplinary regulations.

He also explained the composition of the executive committee and commissions and how those bodies operate and the legal status as non-profit organization.

Lamboy also presented the main contents of a constitution and the resolving of sport disputes and world leading tribunals and the different procedures like mediation, arbitration and litigation as well as the existence of the first instance, appeals panels and Court of Arbitration for Sport.
