SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, March 27, 2015 – Eighty-two
coaches hailing from the 32 provinces of the Dominican Republic
are taking part in a National Coaches Course in Santo Domingo.
The course, which runs until March 29, is organized under the
supervision of the FIVB and NORCECA Regional Development Center
in Dominican Republic.
Ariel Sainz of Cuba is the instructor of the course whose topics
include theoretical and practical sessions at the Volleyball
Complex of Santo Domingo. He will be assisted by Wilson Sanchez,
assistant coach of the Dominican Republic women’s national team.
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, was impressed by
the large number of participants praised the interest showed by
the Dominican National Federation in developing its technical
staff.
“NORCECA will continue year after year offering support to this
type of activities, which contribute to the continuous growth
and improving volleyball starting from the grassroots level,”
Marte Hoffiz stated.
Attendees to the opening ceremony of the course included Ramon
Garcia, president of the Dominican Republic National Federation,
Nelson Ramirez, director of the center, and Jose Luis Suero,
representing the Ministry of Sports and Recreation. |
