Legal Commission works in documents of NORCECA Congress

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 23, 2015 – The NORCECA Legal Commission reviewed all the forms, documents and procedures ahead of the next elective congress of the entity scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 1 in Punta Cana, the tourism area located in the eastern region of the Dominican Republic.

The commission held its annual meeting on Sunday presided over by Giovanni Gautreaux and with the presence and active participation of NORCECA president Cristobal Marte Hoffiz.

Jaime Lamboy, president of the FIVB Legal Commission and member of NORCECA Commission, presented and commented the decisions made by FIVB during the 2014 Congress in Sardinia, Italy and also the regulations of the panels of discipline, ethics and appeal for the solution of disputes and conflicts and the implications in NORCECA.

The Legal Commission will have an active participation in the NORCECA Congress on October 31-November 1 and also in the one-day seminar to be organized on October 30 for National Federations category I and II whose main topic will be the evaluation of the development plan currently going on within NORCECA.

Sabinah Clement reported on the general assembly of the Cayman Islands Federation informing that formal elections took place and new authorities are in charge of the activities.

Marte Hoffiz presented the presidency’s activities report and Nelson Ramirez made a report of the activities developed by the Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic.
