Level 2 International Volleyball Coaching Course Concludes Successfully
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, October 7, 2024. - With the
participation of 23 coaches, a Level 2 International Volleyball Coaching
Course concluded, held from October 1 to 5 at the NORCECA-FIVB Regional
Volleyball Development Center in Santo Domingo.
Dominican coach Jorge Guillen Rodríguez had an outstanding performance
among participants from Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, the United States,
Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Coach Guillen
achieved the highest scores in both theoretical and practical
evaluations.
The course was led by FIVB Instructor Francisco Hervas from Spain, along
with speakers Bernardo Mesa, Dr. Victor Figueroa, Rusber Campos from
Venezuela, and Dennis Céspedes.
Bernardo Mesa addressed topics related to the physical preparation of
athletes. Dr. Figueroa covered medical aspects and doping. Rusber Campos
shared his expertise in statistics and team analysis. Meanwhile, Dennis
Céspedes, FIVB international referee, discussed the latest rule changes
implemented by the FIVB.
In his closing remarks, instructor Francisco Hervas congratulated all
participants for their high level of volleyball knowledge and encouraged
them to continue learning about the new techniques of the game.
Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, via video conference, also congratulated all
the participating coaches, urging them to continue working in their
respective countries to strengthen volleyball within the NORCECA
Confederation. Marte Hoffiz indicated NORCECA's commitment to supporting
training sessions and seminars organized by the Regional Development
Center in Santo Domingo.
The closing ceremony was also attended by Mr. Nelson Eddy González
Montilla, Technical Director of the National Institute of Physical
Education. |
