Level I Coaches Course begins in Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, June 27, 2018 – An International Coaches
Course Level I began on Wednesday at the University of Puerto
Rico in Rio Piedras.
The opening ceremony was attended by Jorge Servera, vice
president of the Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation, Jorge
Garbey, the instructor of the course, and Lisandra Ramírez, who
represented the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center in the
Dominican Republic, which coordinates the course.
Servera expressed his satisfaction for the chance to organize
this course saying that from now on the Federation will be
working in the capacitation of its coaches with the assistance
from the NORCECA Confederation and the Development Center in
Santo Domingo.
Twenty-four coaches, including three women, are taking part of
the course.
Garbey, who is assisted by Jose Mieles, a Level II Coach,
encouraged the participants to work hard and without rest for
the successful growth of volleyball in Puerto Rico. |
