Level I Coaches Course begins in Santo Domingo

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 13, 2018 – Participants hailing from nine countries are attending the Level I Coaches Course taking place in Santo Domingo.

The one-week course is organized by the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center in the Dominican Republic.

Gabriel Salvia of Argentina is the instructor of the course that includes practical and theoretical sessions to be held at the facilities of the volleyball complex in the Dominican capital. He will be assisted by local coach Wilson Sanchez

The course is sponsored by NORCECA, FIVB, the Dominican Volleyball Federation, the Dominican Ministry of Sports and Recreation and the Dominican Olympic Committee.

Angel Rivas, vice president of the Dominican Federation pronounced the welcoming words to the participants and Luis Mejia Oviedo, president of the Olympic Committee took a turn to express some motivational words to the coaches.

Salvia expressed his gratitude to Nelson Ramírez, director of the Development Center for giving him the opportunity to once again dictate this course that to his words will be a kind experience.
