Level I Coaches Course in Santo Domingo

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, October 27, 2018 – The FIVB Sport Development Department has appointed instructor Francisco Cruz as course director of the International Volleyball Coaches Course Level I to be held at the Dominican Republic Regional Development Center from October 29 to November 2.

The course will be conducted in English with participants from Belize, Kenya, Curacao, St Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Aruba, United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, Grenada and Bahamas.

The instructor Cruz is a graduate of the University of Cuba in pedagogy applied to Physical Education and sport training.

Besides, Cruz has worked as head coach of the women’s national team of the Dominican Republic and currently is the head coach of the Trinidad & Tobago team that took part with promising results in the FIVB World Championship in Japan.

The course is sponsored by NORCECA Confederation presided over by Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, said Nelson Ramírez, director of the Development Center.
