Marte Hoffiz explains Impact Plan of NORCECA
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, October 6, 2016 – The Impact Plan
2016-2020 to develop volleyball and beach volleyball throughout
all the countries under the umbrella of the NORCECA
Confederation was the main topic presented by its president
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz during his report of activities in the
35th FIVB World Congress held here on October 5-6 at Hilton
Hotel in Buenos Aires.
Marte Hoffiz made a complete report of the activities taking
place in the North, Central America and Caribbean region for the
past two years in the last day of the meetings.
He also highlighted the increase of beach volleyball activities
through the NORCECA Circuit that last year included a record of
tournaments and promises to continue the trend in the years to
come.
Marte Hoffiz commented about the consistent financial growth of
NORCECA with resources obtained from hosting fees and government
contributions as well as the improvement in the relationship
with official sport institutions and the different local Olympic
Committees.
The president of NORCECA pointed out the number of volleyball
tournaments held every year in the different age groups at local
and continental levels and the involvement of the national
federations in the school programs in their respective
countries.
He also underlined the improvement on the communications are as
the increase of the connection with young people through the
different social media platforms.
