Marte Hoffiz nominated as FIVB Technical Delegate for Tokyo 2020

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, January 31, 2020 – NORCECA is pleased to announce that its president Cristobal Marte Hoffiz has been nominated as FIVB International Technical Delegate for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

 

The volleyball competitions (men and women) to be supervised by Marte Hoffiz begin on July 25 and conclude on August 9.

 

Mr. Marte Hoffiz has served in that functions in several Olympic Games, World Championships and other major competitions of FIVB.

 

“I am very proud about the confidence showed by the presidency of FIVB with our nomination as Technical Delegate for the Olympic Games,” said the president of NORCECA upon receiving the notification from Dr. Ary S. Graca F°. I am very grateful and I will not disappoint that confidence shown towards me.”

 

NORCECA will have two teams per gender taking part in the volleyball competition of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The United States will be represented in both tournaments, while Dominican Republic and Canada will play in the women and men events, respectively.
