Marte Hoffiz praises dedication of NORCECA Family

Dear Norceca Presidents and Friends;

As we enter the final days of 2018, it is source of satisfaction and happiness to look back and appreciate everything we have achieved in the past twelve months with the hard work and dedication from all the members of the NORCECA family.

Volleyball and Beach Volleyball of our Confederation continued to grow in both quality and quantity and consequently gaining in the public appeal of the sport community.

Our two major annual events, the Pan American Cups held in the Dominican Republic and Mexico, delighted thousands of fans in Santo Domingo and Veracruz watching the game at its highest level, in a year when we celebrated the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.

A record of twelve national teams from NORCECA – five men and seven women took part in the FIVB World Championships in Italy, Bulgaria and Japan, thus sending a strong message of the progress attained by our teams in both genders.

I feel particularly proud of the debut of Trinidad and Tobago in the women’s event as it capped a steady work of consistent improvement which shows that success is not an accident but the result of perseverance.

I am convinced that we are headed in the right direction and there are many reasons to face the future with indomitable spirit and optimism if we maintain the same devotion and dreams.
