Martinique deserves Bronze!

PARAMARIBO, Suriname, April 3, 2018 - The Martinique showed that they really deserved the bronze medals dispatching of Suriname to finish on the podium in Ismay Van Wilgan Sporthal for the first match on the final day of the 11th CAZOVA U21 Men Championship in Paramaribo, Suriname.

Martinique won the match 3–1 (25-19, 25-19, 30-32 and 25-15).

Martinique had slightly more winners 105 to Suriname’s 85, Suriname also committed less errors 35 to Martinique’s 47.

Lohan Leaivre of Martinique was the game’s top scorer with 26 points (22 Spikes and 4 Aces) but the Suriname’s Dean Kasdi was his team’s highest scorer with 14 points (11 Spikes and 3 Blocks).

COACH MARTINIQUE – Theodore Verdan said “We knew Suriname this time, and play good.”

CAPTAIN MARTINIQUE- Jimmy Mondesir said “good game”

ASS. COACH SURINAME – Casey Foe-a-man said “Team was happy to be in this match, we need to prepare better.”

CAPTAIN SURINAME – Dylan Hiwat said “we could play better.”
