Fourth stage of NORCECA Beach at Chiapas

CHIAPAS, Mexico, May 12, 2011 – The fourth stop of NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit will take place at Puerto Arista Beach in Chiapas with pairs representing a dozen countries from May 13-15.

Twelve women’s duos and fourteen men’s combos from Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago and United States will compete in the first of five legs of the circuit scheduled in Mexico in 2011.

“We expect another exciting competition,” Director of Competition Arnaldo Sanchez said. “The past three events in Cayman Islands, Guatemala and Dominican Republic were outstanding.”

“This is the first stop in Mexico this year and we are pretty sure the organization will be up to the top and also the players will enjoy the traditional hospitality of the people here,” Sanchez added.

Last year’s winners in Chiapas were Puerto Ricans Yarleen Santiago/Dariam Acevedo and Cubans Sergio Gonzalez/Yoendry Kindelan among the women and men respectively.
