McNamaras improve to 2-0 in Nanjing
NANJING, China, August 18, 2014 – Canadian twins Megan and
Nicole McNamara claimed their second victory without losses in
Pool A of the female segment of the Beach Volleyball Tournament
at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games on Monday.
The McNamaras, who won the bronze medal at the FIVB U19 World
Championships, beat Namibia’s Stephanie Palmhert and Kim Seebach
2-0 (21-10, 21-4) in just 22 minutes.
Skylar Caputo and Susannah Muno of United States and Skye
Mondesir and Dala Noel of St Lucia won their matches by forfeit
against teams of Sierra Leone and Nigeria, respectively.
Nadezda Makroguzova and Daria Rudykh of Russia defeated Lina
Bernier and Valeria Cajigas of Puerto Rico 2-0 (21-15, 21-19).
Nanda Ragillia and Riski Dwi Andriani of Indonesia overcame
Chelsi Ward and Malika Davidson of Trinidad and Tobago 2-0
(21-17, 21-12).
Julia Radl and Mona Gelbauer of Austria beat Guatemalans
Estefanie Bethancourt and Natalia Giron 2-0 (21-15, 21-19). |
