CALI, Colombia, November 24, 2021. - The Men’s
Volleyball tournament will kick off the first
edition of the Junior Pan American Games Cali-Valle
2021 at the Evangelista Mora Coliseum from
November 26-30 in Cali, Colombia.
The multi-sports event, organized by Panam
Sports, gathers under 23 athletes from the
Americas as an effort to promote the new
generations of athletes and support sports
development.
Eight national teams will take part of the
event, four from the NORCECA Confederation and
four from the South American Confederation, both
part of the Pan American Union of Volleyball.
The competition qualifies two national teams to
the 2023 Pan American Games to be held in
Santiago, Chile; the top final ranking team from
NORCECA and the top final ranking team from CSV.
Teams are distributed in two groups, with host
Colombia, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Guatemala
in pool A, and Mexico, Brazil, Dominican
Republic and Chile in pool B.
The preliminary round will be held from November
26 to 28, with the first and second places of
each pool advancing into cross over semifinals,
while third and fourth positions will play for
placing matches on November 29. Medal matches
will be held on November 30.
