Men’s teams will go through preliminary inspection in Lima
LIMA, Peru, July 30, 2019 – The eight teams ready to participate
in the men’s volleyball tournament of the 2019 Lima Pan American
Games will go through the usual preliminary inspections to be
conducted on Tuesday, one day ahead of the start of the
competition.
The preliminary inspection which includes the check of the
nationality of players and the registration forms, will be
performed by the members of the control committee designated by
the Pan American Volleyball Union in the presence of one
representative of the organizing committee of the games.
Teams of defending champions Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba,
Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and United States will be divided into
two pools that will play under a round-robin format. The top two
teams will play in crossed medal round semifinals.
The room for the inspection was prepared following the
guidelines provided during the periodical visits made by
representatives of the UPV in cooperation with the Organizing
Committee.
Over the past two days, the members of the control committee
have inspected the competition and practice venues and have
conducted the practical clinic with the personnel and
voluntaries that will be collaborating for the success of the
competition in every aspect. |
