Mesa Jameson, MVP of the Girls’ U17 Pan American Cup
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, May 31, 2026. – American opposite hitter Mesa
Jameson was honored as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Girls’
U17 Pan American Cup, held May 26–31 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Jameson’s leadership and consistency were decisive in guiding the
United States to an undefeated championship title. She also received
the Best Receiver award, underscoring her all‑around impact on the
team’s success.
Peru
claimed two offensive awards, with Valentina Valera named Best
Spiker and Fernanda Pinto recognized as Second Best Spiker, both
instrumental in securing the bronze medal.
Honduran standout Valeria Castejón earned recognition as Best
Blocker and Best Server, while American Madlen Gloessner was awarded
Second Best Blocker.
In
playmaking, Sophia Gregg of the United States was chosen as Best
Setter. Venezuela’s Amanda Pacheco received the Best Opposite award,
contributing to her team’s runner‑up finish.
Costa Rica celebrated with Nahomi Valverde, distinguished as Best
Libero and Best Digger, showcasing remarkable consistency on court.
Finally, Venezuelan Yaleska Colina was recognized as the
tournament’s Top Scorer, confirming her offensive power and
leadership in her team’s attack. |
