Metro Cup kicks off in Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, March 1, 2017 – The first edition of the Metropolitan Cup for age group categories kicks off on Wednesday organized by the Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation.

The event runs until next Sunday and 120 teams have been registered in the different categories starting from U8 to U18 in both genders.

Day one of the event includes 30 matches starting at 4:30 pm with the closing contests scheduled at 9:00 pm.

All the matches will be contested at the six courts located in the facilities of the Borinquen Coqui National Volleyball Center in Cupey.

The Metropolitan Cup is the first event organized by the Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation under the presidency of Dr Cesar Trabanco and the supervision of Anthony Melendez as director of minor categories.
