Head coach of Mexico, Luis Leon Lopez, commented after the match: “This
was an important match and the players came ready to play and in the
moment. Tomorrow we’re going to try and win and just play our game like
we’re supposed to.”
Isabella Annie Ocampo, Mexican player, said: “Today when they started to
push back a little, we came together as a team and talked about what was
open on the court and how to help each other with receiving. They are a
good blocking team, so we also tried to help each other when it came to
hitting and covering and we talked about who to go to. What worked for
us was coming together as a team and talking and making sure we kept our
energy high.
Tomorrow our mindset is to come out with everything, play our hardest,
and to play together as a team.” |
