Samantha Bricio, top scorer of México:
“I feel good after this victory, we adjusted
after the first set and I think we were able to
settle, without allowing Cuba to get into their
rhythm of play. This win helps us mentally and
physically to get into a better rhythm. There is
always room for improvement, today we failed
some serves, and we will work on them for our
next matches”.
Rafael Petry, head coach of Mexico:
“Our serves were our best weapon. Our reception
could have been of better quality, but we
adjusted our blocking, overcoming Cuba in that
category. We are going to enjoy today’s victory
and tomorrow we will focus on Colombia, which I
consider a classic and an important game for the
qualification we want to reach in this
tournament”. |
